Human Design Coaching Course For Therapists and Coaches

Hello dear ones, my name Is Liav, I’m working with Human design for 12 years, and as a coach for 6 years. I want to start here by laying out a general direction of how I work with Human Design and additional tools in a coaching session, to demonstrate what I will teach in this course.

Please note that I do not teach these additional tools in the current course, but only Human Design as an additional tool that you will use with the other tools you bring as coaches and therapists.

When I coach people, I base the coaching primarily on listening to the needs and feelings of those who come to me. The purpose of my coaching is to bring a person from a point of confusion, lack of clarity, challenge, or emotional pain, to a place of clarity, self-love, resolution of the challenge, release, and awareness of self-work that they can implement in daily life.

In order to help the trainee connect with and refine their needs and feelings, I use the wonderful method of Non-Violent Communication, which is the basis for my coaching. Non-Violent Communication in practice is actually empathetic listening that helps to refine needs, feelings, and strategies for any topic.

If someone approaches me because they know a little about Human Design and want to gain knowledge from it, I look at the needs and feelings related to their chart and reflect them back (which is what we will also learn in the course), so that they connect with and refine them within themselves. I give the precise information from the chart that they need to help them accept their needs.

Throughout all my coaching, there is an emphasis on recognizing needs and feelings in relation to every situation in the trainee’s life. All this happens until reaching a “wall,” which is a place that is difficult to cross. The wall can have two states: stuckness or lack. They can be both.

If there is stuckness, I use tools that I’ve worked with for years and incorporate Human Design at the right moment and according to the trainee’s needs.

The knowledge of the chart helps the trainee refine their mental perceptions of themselves and release those that are stuck in their head and life. Human Design helps to give recognition to certain needs that the trainee hasn’t recognized until now and in certain cases provides practical possibilities that can help, like the practical training of inner authority to help the trainee practice how to choose correctly in their life.

As a very clear basic law, I incorporate the knowledge of the trainee’s chart always in relation to situations from their life and never as a general saying (as is done in classic chart readings).

For example: If the trainee feels stuck in making money in their life because of fear of exposure to audiences, during the conversation we discover what their real need is. Maybe we’ll discover that they really need a sense of movement and satisfaction in their life and therefore feel stuck, and that’s what sits beneath everything. But because of certain fears, they are stuck in their head on certain behavior and not listening to the needs of their body.

So after talking about the subject and understanding the deep needs, we’ll look at their Human Design chart that can help validate this or refine their need for spontaneous body movement and response to generate energy (sacral authority). Understanding the need will help them understand how to connect with this need and practice movement in their life that comes from the body.

When I encounter a “wall of lack,” which means the trainee feels they lack something inside, some quality they want to strengthen, like self-confidence, then I use other tools. Human Design cannot help complete lacks in the body. It is not a tool built for that since it is only knowledge and practice of inner authority that takes a long time to develop.

However I did develop therapy related to Human Design called channeling with the nine centers, which can be incorporated into coaching. This is actually a tool for conversation with each center in the body (from the Human Design model) to connect with it and talk to it with empathy and thus fill a lack or release of stuckness. But the strongest technique I use in case of lack is Parallel Universes Therapy, which I developed. It helps connect with qualities and resources.

In my coaching method, I know in advance that every person comes with some trauma, which is usually unconscious (unless they tell me they’ve dealt with it in depth and released it). Therefore, the important question is whether at some point we’ll manage to touch the trauma or not.

The role of Human Design as a tool within coaching can sometimes cause significant change in the trainee and open them to self-refinement and body connection in a way they didn’t expect and help touch the trauma, but of course not treat it. However, sometimes the knowledge of Human Design can only interfere with healing the trauma when it enters the trainee’s mind at the wrong stage. Therefore, it’s necessary to know really who it’s right to work with the knowledge with and when.

The studies focus on combining learning Human Design knowledge from a beginner level together with emotional coaching and with the tools that exist with you as a coach, guide, or therapist.

As I mentioned, in this course I do not teach the other tools that I personally combine in coaching, besides how to combine needs and feelings with the Human Design chart. Therefore, there is a touch of Non-Violent Communication and empathy from the angle of Human Design. The rest of the tools can be learned in another course for those who want to continue (you can read about it below).

The purpose of the course is to learn how to incorporate Human Design within a coaching/guidance framework, and therefore it’s important that you know the course will suit you only if you work with additional tools that are central tools for you.

Note that although you will learn all the knowledge in the Human Design chart, this is not a course for reading charts but for coaching through Human Design. These are two different approaches in their essence.

First, the knowledge of Human Design will enrich your inner world and give you a special view of human beings and yourself, at the psychological level of the psyche and emotion, and at the mental level, in a new way you haven’t seen before. It can bring a lot of order to your mind.

The knowledge will take you through a path of awareness of the world in a way you haven’t discovered before.

The chart will allow you to look at your trainees/patients in a new way (when they agree to it, of course), and help them from an angle that can save them and you a lot of time in specific situations.

Estimated hours: 20-30 hours, depending on the learning pace.

The course can be one-on-one or in intimate groups of 2-4 participants, via Zoom. Each meeting is an hour and a half.

In a group, all participants set the frequency of meetings in advance. It can be once or twice a week, or once every two weeks. The decision on this will be made in a Zoom call held in advance. You can leave/stop the course whenever you want, and there is no obligation to continue studying. However, if a break is taken, you must complete the lessons that were done, and the payment remains the same even if you haven’t attended the live lesson.

Each meeting will have a recording, and you can receive the recordings.

What to expect in meetings?

• Very intimate work, which includes personal coaching work with other participants (according to how much suits you, but it’s very important to agree to personal work since this is part of the learning, and that’s the reason these are small groups).

• Receiving extensive knowledge of Human Design.

• Practice during lessons and outside lessons.

Personal course, one-on-one:

125 Euros for an hour and a half.

Additional participants:

2 participants: 100 Euros for an hour and a half per participant.

The following courses can only be learned after the Human Design coaching course, and only for therapists and coaches. The costs are the same as the coaching course.

Parent coaching course:

Learning about relationships between parents and children. From my perspective, this is the reason Human Design exists—to help parents help their children and themselves in relation to them.

In the course, we will learn chart combinations to help parents support their children, deal with the child’s nature in situations of difficulty or behavioral challenge, and connect the child to their needs and qualities through the angle of Human Design.

Estimated hours:
7-15 hours, depending on the learning pace and what was learned before.

Couples coaching course:

This course is for understanding the chart for couples who are experiencing challenges, by looking at their chart.

Note: This is not a course for couples’ readings, but only for examining their different needs in the chart to connect to these needs during a session with the couple. Suitable if you want to work with couples who come to you from individual coaching/therapy.

Estimated hours: 7-15 hours, depending on the learning pace and what was learned before.

These are courses for incorporating additional tools within a coaching session. No prior knowledge in Human Design is needed to learn them. These courses are only for coaches, guides, or therapists.

Parallel Universes Therapy course:

A working method for filling quality lacks, through guided imagination where the trainee connects in imagination to a parallel universe where their parallel self is more full in the quality they need, and bringing that quality from the parallel universe to them. This is a very powerful technique that works with great success.

The technique was developed by Liav Ivri in 2016, and he has worked with it with hundreds of people and taught it in courses.

Hours: 10 hours (course for therapists and coaches only).

Orbital Eye Movement Therapy (OEM) course:

A technique for working through circular eye movement, which releases painful images, thoughts, and feelings from memories and situations (similar to EMDR). The technique was developed by Liav Ivri in 2018, long before he knew about the existence of EMDR. After experiencing EMDR as a patient for a year and a half, he upgraded the technique he developed in the past and now uses it as a tool for coaching and personal work.

Hours: 6-8 hours (course for therapists and coaches only).

Advance Non-Violent Communication course:

This is a course for deepening in the way of Non-Violent Communication, which allows us to discover a lot about ourselves and others through listening to the other and to our own needs. This is a way of deep empathy and clear communication with ourselves and other people. The coaching/therapeutic way from Non-Violent Communication becomes a language and way of life within meetings.

Hours: 12 hours (course for therapists and coaches only).

The following text you are invited to read if you want to dive into the full story of the change that occurred in me regarding Human Design and how I transitioned to working as a coach after 12 years as a chart reader.

Introduction

Hello, my name is Liav Ivri Yanni, and I am 47 years old. Since 2011, I have been deeply involved in Human Design, both as a practitioner and a student. I was among the first in Israel to delve deeply into the subject and to conduct readings. My journey in Human Design led me to complete the International School’s Analyst Program and numerous other courses. For a decade, I managed two large Human Design Facebook groups and conducted professional readings for thousands of people.

Each reading consisted of two 90-minute sessions, where I delivered a monologue-style explanation of the chart. Over time, I also taught advanced Human Design courses and even wrote a book on the subject—though it was never published, as you’ll soon understand.

I was profoundly immersed in the knowledge and personal development that Human Design offers. Alongside it, I studied other methodologies, including Nonviolent Communication and Byron Katie’s “The Work,” which I’ve practiced for over 20 years. I also developed my own approaches, such as Parallel Universes Therapy. Through these, I guided individuals with or without incorporating Human Design.

But in June 2020, my life took a dramatic turn.

The Turning Point

In mid-2020, I experienced a severe trauma that evolved into post-traumatic stress. For a year and a half, I wrestled with deep fears and anxieties, to the point of contemplating hospitalization during the most difficult moments. Thankfully, I sought professional trauma help early and didn’t allow myself to sink deeper. Over two and a half years of structured therapy with a skilled professional, I managed to transform my trauma into growth.

The therapeutic process brought about a profound rediscovery of myself. I connected to parts of myself I never imagined possible, releasing layers of pain and reconnecting deeply with my body and authentic self. This transformation completely reshaped how I viewed my path with Human Design—both personally and professionally.

The Journey Through Human Design

Human Design claims to guide individuals toward their true selves through reflection and the practice of strategy and authority. Indeed, the knowledge is remarkably precise, offering profound insights into human nature. I learned a great deal about the world and others through this system, and it opened my mind in ways I never expected.

However, after completing trauma therapy, I realized that the insights Human Design had given me about myself over 12 years of study and practice amounted to less than one-third of what I discovered during two and a half years of deep therapy. Before my trauma, I never thought of myself as someone who needed that much work, because for 20 years, I had been delving into many tools and practices that helped me a lot. I learned many tools for self-help and therapy.

But the trauma therapy not only helped me heal the recent trauma but also revealed and released childhood traumas I hadn’t been aware of. This process fundamentally altered how I saw Human Design. Its role in my personal development shifted dramatically, to the point where it no longer felt relevant to my growth in any way. In fact, the detachment I experienced was akin to a devout believer leaving their faith.

What I Discovered

Through therapy, I realized that despite my years of studying and practicing Human Design, I had been unconsciously navigating my life within the “transparent walls of trauma.” These invisible barriers, I believe, exist for everyone because, as I see it today, everyone has their own trauma, consciously or unconsciously. Human Design, because of its precise information about the nature of the self, offers the illusion that it can break these walls through practicing strategy and authority, but I discovered that it cannot.

This awakening brought me to a critical understanding: while Human Design provides a framework for self-awareness, its practice cannot replace deep emotional healing, which all humanity needs. The knowledge, as fascinating and precise as it is, had unknowingly become a tool for me to avoid confronting deeper fears and unresolved pain. Therapy and healing my trauma connected me to my true self in such a strong way that the practice of Human Design never did.

As I healed, my focus shifted entirely from using Human Design language to human language. My connection to my body and to others became central, and my perspective on Human Design totally changed.

Reframing Human Design

Does this mean Human Design is irrelevant or ineffective? Not at all. Human Design has an important role in awakening individuals to their unique paths and providing tools for self-awareness. However, I now see it as the first 20% of a much larger journey of healing and growth.

Without addressing underlying trauma, no amount of Human Design practice will break through the transparent walls of hidden trauma. Those walls will take you where they take you, no matter how much strategy and authority you practice, because trauma is so deeply rooted and strong that the only way to heal it is to deeply touch it.

I realized the rightful place of Human Design, in which it excels in two key areas:

1.Recognition of Individual Uniqueness

Human Design helps people see and validate their unique way of experiencing the world. This can be profoundly liberating, allowing individuals to embrace their authentic selves.

2.Practical Guidance Through Strategy and Authority

The practice of strategy and authority offers a structured way to make decisions and approach life. This reconnection to how we choose can have a transformative impact on our lives.

However, for these gifts to make a deep impact, they must be paired with tools and approaches that address unresolved emotional wounds caused by trauma.

A New Approach to Coaching

At some point, I realized I could no longer offer traditional Human Design readings as one-sided monologues. I couldn’t simply pour knowledge onto someone without understanding their unique story, challenges, and needs. The knowledge can only make a real impact when it is tailored to the individual and their specific circumstances. I knew that Human Design can only provide limited help with recognition for elements of behavior, and to really amplify its effectiveness, it is necessary to transfer it to the other person in connection with the challenges and difficulties they are experiencing right now.

This realization led me to shift my entire approach. Today, I combine the insights of Human Design with methodologies like Nonviolent Communication and the therapeutic tools I’ve developed, such as Parallel Universes Therapy.

Rather than offering a traditional chart reading, my sessions are now dialogues. I listen deeply, understand the person’s needs, and use Human Design insights to address their specific pain points and give them refined recognition. This approach ensures the knowledge is applied meaningfully and effectively.

Trusting the Body

One of the most profound changes I experienced was a stronger connection to my body. Ironically, this is what Human Design aims to achieve—but I found that clinging to its frameworks actually distanced me from my body’s authentic responses.

Letting go of the knowledge of Human Design allowed me to trust my body fully. Today, I no longer need to analyze my decisions through Human Design authority or strategies. I trust my body’s natural wisdom to guide me, and this trust has brought immense joy and connection into my life.

Human Design in Perspective

The knowledge of Human Design has tremendous value, but it is not all-encompassing. It cannot see or address everything about a person. It provides potentials—both positive and negative—but cannot heal deep emotional wounds or solve the pains of the past.

When I teach Human Design, I emphasize its limitations alongside its strengths. I integrate it with a deeper understanding of emotional and psychological healing, creating a balanced and holistic approach.

An Invitation

If this resonates with you, I invite you to join me in a transformative coaching course that combines the insights of Human Design with a coaching approach. Whether you are a coach or therapist, this course will equip you with powerful tools to support others and explore deep psychological layers within yourself and those you work with.
